At 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 30, 2001, Raley's will donate two semi-truck tractors to the Sacramento, California Urban Search and Rescue Task Force 7 (US&R TF7) and the Sacramento Fire Department. These two "semis' will be used primarily to support the Task Force 7's training and logistical needs by having immediate transportation for the equipment cache. Additionally, this will enhance the Task Force 7's capability to provide ground transportation for response to local, state, and nationwide emergencies.

Attending the presentation will be Joyce Raley Teel from Raley's, personnel from Task Force 7, Sacramento Fire Department, Sacramento Metropolitan Fire Protection District, West Sacramento Fire Department, El Dorado County Fire Department, and the Governor's Office of Emergency Services, Fire and Rescue Branch.

Raley's gracious donation of a new 2002 Kenworth and a 1996 Volvo semi-tractor is valued at $119,000 and $20,000 respectively. The value of this gift to Task Force 7 and the Sacramento Fire Department is immeasurable. Ultimately, this will aid Task Force 7 and the Sacramento Fire Department by improving our ability to complete our primary mission.
