| SACRAMENTO- At 5:28 a.m. the Sacramento Fire Department responded to a reported motor home fire in back of the residence at 1845 Reynolds Way in North Sacramento. The fire companies arrived to find the mobile home partially consumed with fire and were able to extinguish the blaze in less than ten minutes from the time of dispatch. While conducting a search of the motor home, fire fighters found an adult male who had apparently succumb to the smoke and flames.
A Sacramento Fire Department Investigator has stated that the cause of the fire will be undetermined but he is unable to rule out electrical wiring as a possible cause. The motor home had several electrical appliances in it, all powered by extension cords running from the house on the property. The estimated loss is at $5,000. The single alarm response from the Sacramento Fire Department included, three Engine Companies, two Truck Companies, and two additional command and support staff. Identification of the male victim will be made available through the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office. |
