| SACRAMENTO – The following street closure is effective immediately until further notice: Fruitridge Rd. in both directions between Florin Perkins to 84th St.
The Sacramento Fire Department was dispatched to check sewage that was backing up out of the system at a rate of 50-100 gallons per minute. The sewage is flooding the roadway and draining into a storm drain that feeds Morrison Creek.
Sacramento County Sanitation District is working with several organizations to mitigate the incident as quickly as possible.
