| SACRAMENTO – Congresswoman Doris O. Matsui (CA-5) will honor the Sacramento Urban Search and Rescue Team, the Sacramento Fire Department’s Swiftwater Rescue Team, and incident support personnel for their rescue and recovery efforts in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina in a ceremony on Tuesday, October 11, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at a Fire Fighter Training facility in McClellan Business Park.
During the ceremony, Congresswoman Matsui will present the teams with United States flags that have been flown over the United States Capitol. Additionally, each individual will be presented a copy of the Congressional Record in which the Congresswoman paid tribute to his or her efforts. All media is invited to attend this ceremony. |
