SACRAMENTO - Fire investigators from the Sacramento Fire Department and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) concluded their on scene investigation late Sunday. After reviewing all the information collected, the investigators determined that no criminal activity was involved in the fire that destroyed the two-story medical office building on Wednesday.
Fire investigators used heavy equipment to move debris from a particular area where they believed the fire started. While they could narrow down the area of origin, they could not pinpoint the exact cause of the fire. The fire smoldered in ceiling, vent and roof openings for some time before flames were visible. The extended length of the fire destroyed much of the area of origin. |
